Mr. John Kofie Anoku
John is the Research Development Officer responsible for ethics and research dissemination. John facilitates the establishment and coordination of various University of Ghana’s ethics committees for responsible conduct of research involving human and non-human research subjects. He was the coordinator of the Development Research Uptake in Sub-Saharan Africa (DRUSSA) programme and currently facilitates research uptake and utilisation activities at the University. John is also responsible for the publication of University of Ghana’s annual research report and publications of the University’s public lectures online. As part of his portfolios, he assists with the provision of research and institutional data to ranking agencies for the purposes of benchmarking and ranking of the University. John is involved in the development of research related policies and guidelines.
John joined the University in June, 2012. He graduated from the University of Ghana with a BA (Hons) in Linguistics and Philosophy. He holds a joint MSc in Computing from the University of Liverpool and Liverpool Hope University. He holds another MSc in International Business & Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. John also holds an MPhil in Science and Technology Studies from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
Before joining the University, John worked with several multinational organisations in the United Kingdom and Ghana. He has vast experience in financial services, information technology, consultancy, research and teaching.
